Sometimes life just does not line up with our plans. Two months ago, I had a common but serious surgery, and the “expectations” were that I would be back to “normal” by the time my two Fall 2023 shows rolled around.
I am making good progress overall and the intended goal of the surgery appears to be on track. So, I am deeply grateful for that progress. But there are some issues that are just going to take more healing time than I planned. So yesterday I had to make the painful decision to bow out.
I am deeply grateful to the folks who put on the Cottonwood Arts Festival. When I contacted them that I just was not physically able to do the show this fall, they were very gracious . I have participated in this show for 38 years and it has always been one of my favorites. The crowds have always been kind and enthusiastic. The organizers do a wonderful job, and the quality of the show is excellent. I am disappointed that I could not be there this fall and I look forward to hopefully being able to apply for the show again in 2024.
My friends at the Edom Arts Festival – a show I love so much for the venue, the support of the patrons, and the many dear friends who put it on and exhibit – were so supportive. This show is a gem in the piney woods of East Texas. It has talented artists in all mediums. The setting is fun as Edom has long been a mecca for artists and is filled with lovely studios. I am going to miss spending some time with my art friends and the always generous and fun interaction with the show visitors. Again, I hope that I can participate next year.

My online shop is open and we can fulfill orders. I’ve also updated my contact form so you can reach me easily with any questions. If you are interested in a piece that is not in my shop, please use the form to reach out and I’ll see if it is something we need to upload and let you know.
As always – thank you for reading and for your continued and much appreciated support!
