I created this artwork when Trump first ran for President. I’m not a “political” artist – but I am a man of faith who values truth over personalities. This imagery developed in my mind as I watched people become increasingly disconnected from reality around politics in our country. It has resonated with many folks at the shows where it has been sold and I’ve had some interesting conversations.

“Trumped Up Truth” isn’t a new thing. There have been a lot of personalities over the centuries that have offered us “truth” that in reality was nothing more than self promotion and aggrandizement. Not always politicians – but certainly that arena offers up the most alluring opportunity for power and ego.

From the playground to the biggest world stages, there are and always will be those who “Trump Up” the truth. It’s on us to see it for what it is and keep focused on the humbler “attire” of the raw and the plain truth.
